Transsexual: somebody who identifies as opposite sex, somebody who believes they should have been born as the other sex, etc.
Transgender: a person that regards themselves as the opposite sex. However, this is the umbrella term. There are transsexuals, definitely, but also people in between.
How can someone be in between? Well ... take me for example. After a talk with a friend on here, we discovered something that more closely relates to what I am. Genderfluid would be more my speed. Most days I feel like a girl. Sometimes I feel like a boy. Hell, when I get horny, I wish I had a "yardstick" to jerk off. A very weird combination of two genders, but it counts.
The point is, transgender describes a very wide spectrum of sexuality. The umbrella of crossing between genders.
Onto the topic of crossdressers ... a crossdresser is normally only defined as transgender if they identify with the other gender. I can respect that.
However, those who crossdress for comfort - not just for fun or just to say that they're transgender, but crossdress because it seems more natural, even if they identify as the same gender with which they were born - I classify them as transgender. It's crossing out of the norm of their gender. What can I say? It seems to fit to me.
If you disagree with that, it's your take. I just think they should be included. The point of the stamp is that not every transgender person is transsexual. It's just not that black & white.
Note: I disabled comments. Not because there were too many people flaming me or something, but because there was a very long discussion and my nitpicky-OCD-uptight self couldn't let such a long, ugly debate be visible. If you have something to say to me about this, just note me, please.
